This hand-made, original linocut print depicts the action of giving oneself a shot in a new light: quiet, tranquil, and warm. The painful, often scary action here becomes one of self-love and self-worship; and the transformative nature of this moment in the context of gender and transition create a repetitive ritual, reshaping one's own body into a familiar home through enormous self-love.

This piece includes four layers of ink, each printed from an individually-carved block and layered atop one another. The color layers are a carefully-controlled transparent, and the linework is printed in soft brown, lending the image a warm, nostalgic mood.
